We're very proud that RC4G Peterborough has been offering programs for girls and women in the Peterborough area for TEN
years. But to keep these great programs going, we need help. Whether it's attending our monthly steering committee meetings or
coming out a couple times a year to help with fundraising events, there's a place for you at RC4G. Check out the list of volunteer
opportunities below, and then fill out our
Online Volunteer Form or drop us a line to discuss how you can help keep the Rock
Camp experience alive! NOTE: Front line staff and volunteers at camp must be female, but we welcome males in all other
positions.

RC4G NEWS - SUMMER 2015

SESSION 1 OF ROCK CAMP FOR GIRLS GETS A MAKEOVER!
We're developing some new workshop ideas for our first week of camp (Aug 10-14) designed to give current and aspiring performers
some practical skills to advance their craft, such as recording, booking gigs, online promotion, etc. If you are - or you know - a young
woman 13 to 18 who wants to build their playing skills, meet other musically-inclined females, and learn more about how to be
successful as a performer, sign up now! Note that we've expanded the age range to 18.

SESSION 2 OF ROCK CAMP FOR GIRLS IS NOW FULL!
Our second week of camp (Aug 17-21) is full and overflowing! Sometimes we have cancellations before camp starts. If you would like
to be put on a waiting list, please send in a completed application. Don't send in the deposit, however. We'll let you know if a spot
opens up, and you can pay the deposit at that time.

10th BIRTHDAY BENEFIT BASH A SMASHING SUCCESS!
Thanks to everyone who attended, performed at, donated to or helped out with our big birthday bash at the Red Dog Tavern on May
30
! We had a great time and raised almost $1000, which will go to camper subsidies and other costs of running camp. A huge shout
out to the performers who kept the room rocking all night -- Melissa Payne, The Estrogems and Dub Trinity. High fives to everyone who
donated to our silent auction -- Moondance, Bluestreak,
Trent Radio, Miles @ Renegade, Peg Town, The Red Dog Tavern, Emily
Haines
of Metric, and all the local recording artists who contributed CDs. An extra loud round of applause to Long & McQuade and
Maar's Music for the electric guitar & amp package sold by live auction -- and to Sue Watson and Christian Haak for buying it! Lip
smacks of gratitude to Black Honey for the delectable birthday cupcakes. And of course thanks to the Red Dog for all the help setting
up and running the event.
